| Yep! That's my exasperated look |
I give up. My recommendation, which I think follows good human logic, is to eat those foods that are as close to their natural state as possible. Fresh produce, fresh meats, eggs, cheeses, whatever... Just make sure it's unprocessed or minimally processed.
MY LIST OF HEALTHY FOOD
- The fewer ingredients the better
- You should be able to pronounce all of the ingredients without a Master's degree in chemistry
- If it lasts on the shelf for months without molding or getting stale BEWARE (oatmeal, pasta and dried rice and beans are obvious exceptions. Use common sense)
- If it lasts in the refrigerator for more than a few days BEWARE
When all else fails, shop the exterior of the grocery stores for the freshest and least processed foods. If it's in the aisles... BEWARE.
